This opposition marks the halfway point in the Star of our solar system and the 7th traditional planet in their circular round dance called a synodic cycle. Saturn and the Sun take a year and a bit to meet. The two planets have a grand meeting called a Cazimi when Saturn sits in the heart of the golden Sun and gets blessed. That meeting marks a culmination and completion of a major cycle in all things Saturnine, discipline, maturity, reality checks, karma, endings, work, father issues, boss issues, obstacles, patience, toughing it out, growing up, and jumping all the hurdles. We’ve now come half-way from that Saturn ruled Aquarian cycle but now Saturn is in PISCES a Mutable Water sign of everything intangible, spiritual, ephemeral and imaginal. As we moved from Air sign to Water element there is a distinct difference in the Saturnine lessons. Pisces is traditionally ruled by Jupiter and by Neptune in modern astrology. We are integrating lessons around letting go, trusting spirit,our dreams and our imagination. “Build it and they will come” is such a Saturn in Pisces motto. Field of Dreams is also a Saturn in Pisces metaphor.
This can be also a day of positive culminations. I am celebrating my little grandson’s 1st birthday party today with extended family with relatives i haven’t seen in years from my ex-husband’s family. How very Saturnine and Venus Retrograde. Saturn is milestones and this is certainly one.
Saturn is moving Retrograde at 3 degrees and the SUN is in hard working humble Virgo. This opposition infers working with illuminating your health and daily routing, and redefining your dreams to make them real. Virgo organizing, budgets, belt tightening and facing addictions are also part of this cycle. The gap between your dreams and reality couldn’t be starker. Many a romantic fantasy have popped since Saturn entered Pisces on March 3, 2023 and with Venus also Retrograde in Leo this is making those fantasies hit a stone cold hard wall. Saturn in PIsces is the end of a karmic cycle.

From now until Saturn’s next reunion with the SUN, the Cazimi on February/28/24 at 9 degrees PISCES, this is a Saturn waning phase. We are gradually letting go which can also be good to releasing things into the world. Disseminate what was begun on February 16, 2023. It’s ok to let go. It creates space for new things to develop.
