It’s been 36 years since the first worldwide meditation event called the Harmonic Convergence occurred on August 16/17, 1987. Organized by visionary artist and co-creater of Earth Day, Jose Arguelles, thousands of young idealists, what would later be called Lightworkers, gathered at power spots around the world. This was pre-internet. I was in Sedona Arizona as I was called by spirit to be there a year before and I had never heard of it. Back in 1987,Sedona was a one traffic stop light Y intersection with no police, fire station or hospital, made up of the Village of Oak Creek too, with a combined population of about 8,000 mainly wealthy retirees, a Western artists colony, Fames Surrealist Max Ernst lived in Sedona with his artist wife Dorothy Tanning in the 1940’s, and a Hollywood film star,cottage retreat, a nature, hiking and golfing worshippers who liked its’ quiet out of the way locale.
10,000 people showed up waiting for the space ships to land to beam them all up to Higher dimensions. 36 years later in 2023, aliens are being talked about in mainstream news. Sedona was discovered first as a spiritual retreat in the early 90’s and then the migrations out of California since 2020 made Sedona a now very expensive place to buy property and stay in.
The world’s definitely gotten worse, but more people are aware and awake to spirituality, Oneness, other dimensions and working collectively. Jose Arguelles new spin on the Mayan Calendar and Dreamspell and Planetary Art Network may have lost their appeal in the plethora of spiritual outpourings since then.
